Marseille have secured their place in the top three after beating Toulouse 2-1 at Stade Vélodrome on Sunday evening.
The victory means that Marseille now sit two points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and four behind leaders Lyon, with both teams having played one more game than Marseille.
The match was a closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances throughout the first half but failing to find the net.
However, it was Marseille who broke the deadlock in the second half when Adama Traoré found space on the right wing and fired home from 25 yards out.
Toulouse responded immediately though, as they equalised through Adrien Thomas' header just moments later.
But Marseille were not finished yet, as Adama Traoré struck again to give his side a deserved lead once again.
With only five minutes left on the clock, Toulouse had a chance to level things up, but their effort was blocked by a defender.
As the final whistle blew, Marseille fans erupted in joy, knowing that they had earned themselves a place in the top three for the time being.
Overall, it was another solid performance from Marseille, who have been in fine form recently. They will be hoping to continue this momentum in their upcoming matches, which include games against Strasbourg and Nice.
